Friday Favorites: Home Exteriors I Love–Giannetti’s Atherton

Turns out I had a design crush on the Giannettis and their unique design aesthetic all along. And didn’t even know it.

It’s their photos I was posting to my Pinterest boards and lusting over in the wee hours of the night, without ever understanding who was behind these extraordinary images. That is until last spring, at the Design Blogger’s Conference in LA. That’s when I had the pleasure of attending their presentation and hearing their story. And I realized it’s their creative force that’s responsible for some of my absolute favorite home exteriors and design elements, most of which I’ve saved in my personal LookBook for use in my next home. And the home after that. Etc., etc., etc……….

Here are a few of my top picks from their Atherton project. Every detail, an inspiration!

What’s not to love about this charming side entrance? The soft white of this exterior palette against the zinc roof,  stone borders and framed beds—so warm and welcoming. Understated beauty at its best.

Don’t you love when even the back of a home exceeds your expectations?  Calm, inviting and sophisticated: The perfect blend of form and function. These over-sized steel framed windows were meant for enjoying every element of these beautiful long sight lines.

The landscape surrounding this home is simple but elegant.  And just the right complement for its fine casual vibe. Beautiful boxwoods set the foundation. Hints of white blooms and a pops of texture add interest. Love, love, love.

Cannot resist this entrance: A gorgeous zinc covered porch, charming pots brimming with hydrangeas, and this so-cool glass and steel door create a one-of-a-kind welcome. And the classic lines of the exterior lighting? Yep, that pretty much seals the deal for me!

And that front exterior—well, most of all, it just says..home
